Object 2

Object 2 marks the beginning of an exploration of matter, gesture and time.

This piece is part of an ongoing body of work focused on the construction of architectural forms in stoneware. Each prototype documents a stage in the process and contributes to the development of a personal language in which traces of the making process are intentionally left visible.

White stoneware, assembled with an iron-enriched slip.

The surface was marked with jute cloth and jute cord before assembly. The irregular traces record the contact between the clay, the fabric and the construction process.
